How to play

  1. Pick a theme: countries, animals, cities, jobs, plants, names and more.
  2. Answer the kick-off question. The last letter of your answer starts the chain.
  3. Name something in the theme that starts with that letter, then keep going.
  4. The clock starts at 20 seconds and drops to 15, 12 and 8 as your streak grows. A repeat, a wrong letter or a timeout ends the run.

Ways to play

Daily

Everyone gets the same theme and kick-off question, and the chain is eight links long. A new one every day.

Endless

One run, no limit. Bonuses at 5, 10, 20 and 50 in a row.

Versus

Two players trade answers until someone breaks the chain.

Letter trivia

Real questions, linked by letters: the last letter of each answer picks the next question.

Tips

  • Leave your opponent a rare letter like X, Q or Z. Trapping them earns a bonus.
  • Your shield saves you once, so you can take a risk on a tricky letter.
  • Countries ending in A are common, so know a few that start with A.

Do small typos count?

Yes, small typos are accepted. Words the game doesn't recognise cost you 2 seconds, so you can try again.

Can I play against a friend?

Yes. Versus mode is for two players on one device, and Online VS lets you race friends on the same theme.
