- With chaos cards on, land on a ? square and draw a card. The board pulls back so everyone sees what happens.
Ways to play
Four boards
Classic; Jungle Temple, with vines everywhere for a quick race; Lava Peak, with few ladders and a nest of snakes near the top; and Starway, with huge rocket ladders and huge falls.

Rocket Boots, Switcheroo, Earthquake, Magnet, Portal, Ice Patch and more. Or switch them off for the classic game.

Tips
- On the Classic board the ladders near the top (like 80 and 71) are huge. So are the snakes near 100, so take care in the 90s.
- Want a short game? Pick Jungle Temple. Want a long, nail-biting one? Lava Peak.
- Snake Charmer protects you from the next snake, so it's worth more the higher you are.
- Switcheroo swaps you with the leader. If you're already leading, you'll swap with whoever is last!
Questions
Can I play Snakes and Ladders online with friends?
Yes. Make a lobby, send your friends the 4-letter code, and everyone plays on their own device. Computers can fill empty seats.
What are chaos cards?
Optional cards on the ? squares: some help you, some hurt you, and some shake up everyone's position. Turn them off for the classic game.
Is it free?
Yes, completely free in your browser on phone, tablet or computer. No download or account needed.
Are Quick Play lobbies real players?
Quick Play matches you with real players first. When there aren't enough people online to fill a lobby, the empty seats are filled by computer players with their own names and looks, so you never wait long. Computer players don't count toward leaderboards, online wins or badges. To play only with friends, make your own lobby and share the code.
